São Paulo MSX Summit 2025 will bring the creator of the MSX standard to Brazil – Clube MSX Magazine

A whole day to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the MSX standard in Brazil and specially prepared to welcome Dr. Kazuhiko Nishi , the “Father” of MSX, in person. An event with lectures, exclusive exhibitors, a display of computers and lots of chat about the beloved MSX microcomputer platform. This is what the São Paulo MSX Summit 2025 will be like, taking place on July 19th at Club Homs , on the iconic and vibrant Avenida Paulista , in the city of São Paulo. The event will be exclusively in person and will not be broadcast over the internet.

Living legend of the MSX scene, Dr. Kazuhiko Nishi will talk about the new generation of the MSX standard, presenting his plans for the new MSX0 and MSX3, with the right to display prototypes. After the talk, there will be a special autograph and photo session with the creator of the MSX.

In addition to Dr. Nishi, the event will be attended by Moris Arditti — an executive at Gradiente who led the Expert computer project — and Ademir Carchano , a legendary figure in the Brazilian MSX scene and owner of ACVS , responsible for the MSX1 to MSX2 and MSX2+ conversion kits in the platform's golden age.

The São Paulo MSX Summit 2025 will start at 10 am and is scheduled to end at 8 pm, after the autograph session. There will be a break for lunch. The venue has two restaurants (one serving Arabic food and a steakhouse), but visitors can also have lunch outside — Avenida Paulista and nearby streets offer several options for restaurants and eateries.

ABOUT THE SAO PAULO MSX SUMMIT 2025

Organized by Clube MSX magazine and MSXSP , the São Paulo MSX Summit 2025 was created to discuss the new directions of the MSX standard, celebrate its 40 years in Brazil and welcome, directly from Japan, Dr. Kazuhiko Nishi . Unlike traditional MSX user meetings, the Summit proposes a more reflective and historical approach, bringing together key figures for the platform.
