Athletic Land Enhanced | MSX Resource Center

The guys at NOP are happily continuing their work on remastering classic Konami games and enhancing them with awesome sample music. This time it’s “Athletic Land” from 1984. Once again, it’s playable on your trusty old MSX 1 from 1983. Of course, you’ll need to use your favorite flashable device to install the ROM. Install it, and enjoy the guitar music by Manuel Dopico! And remember: this awfully cool music is played on this great PSG chip inside of your normal MSX of 1983.

Athletic Land is a Konami 1984 original game for the MSX (1983) system. Using their custom compiler, NOP was able to modify the game and add some enhancements. The game runs on the same hardware as the original game but it contains samples and sound effects that are mixed in realtime (at 7kHz for this time). Enjoy!
