Final tickets for MSX2 GOTO40 now on sale

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, historic ’t Zonnehuis in Amsterdam will host MSX2 GOTO40, a full-day tribute to the 40th anniversary of MSX2. The event will feature talks, live performances, a unique exhibit, meet & greets, hardware and software sales, and more.

Over 75% of tickets are already sold, and demand continues to be high. The organisers have therefore added a second event space to welcome more visitors. If you haven’t secured your ticket yet, now is the time.

Special guests
The event is proud to welcome the following special guests:

• Miki “MIKI-CHANG” Higashino (Konami, composer: Yie-Ar Kung Fu, Knightmare, Gradius/Nemesis, Salamander)
• Naoki Satoh (Konami, art director: Parodius, King’s Valley II, SD Snatcher, Space Manbow, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake)
• Yuji “TECHNOuchi” Takenouchi (Konami, composer: Space Manbow, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, SD Snatcher, Quarth)
• Kazuhiko “Kay” Nishi (Microsoft/ASCII, pioneer of personal computers, creator of MSX)

Program
Program highlights include:

• Presentation by Naoki Satoh: Satoh designed packaging and logos for MSX2 classics and will share insights about his work at Konami.
• Presentation by Kazuhiko Nishi: Nishi presents the latest developments on MSX3 and more.
• Konami Memories Panel: Miki Higashino, Yuji “TECHNOuchi” Takenouchi, and Naoki Satoh share candid stories from their MSX years at Konami, supported by unique photo and video material.
• Musical performances by Miki Higashino and TECHNOuchi.
• Exhibition: A display of rare MSX hardware.
• Fair: Key figures and groups in the current MSX scene showcase and sell new MSX hardware and software.
• Meet & Greet: Meet our guests, get autographs, or take photos with them.

This year, extra space has been added, offering booth holders a quieter, more intimate area to exhibit and a stage perfect for in-depth technical talks, such as:

• Kazuhiko Nishi – A More In-Depth Look at the New Developments and Future of the MSX System
• Nestór Soriano (alias Konamiman) – Internet on the MSX: Developing the Missing Piece
• Stephan Smetsers (NOP) – The Soundchip Awakens: “In a world of beeps and tones… one chip dared to sample.”
