FutureDisk 50, the end of an era

The folks behind the disk magazine FutureDisk are hard at work on FutureDisk 50, and they’ve collectively decided that this will be the final issue of FutureDisk.

After discussions with the MSX Vriendenclub Mariënberg, it was agreed that the last member of the FD family will be released and revealed at an MVM club day, specifically on Saturday, June 14th. FutureDisk was originally founded through connections made by Koen Dols and Dennis Lardenoye at MSX club days in the southern part of The Netherlands, and it will, fittingly, come to a close at an MSX club day.

The last FutureDisk promises to be a celebration, apart from the magazine also featuring a new game from Unepic_Fran, a sequel to Sweet Acorn, a special Bungarua FD version, and hopefully a promo of Nightstalker. But there is always room for more!

If there is anyone on MRC that still wants to contribute content for the final FutureDisk – whether that’s a text with your memories of the FutureDisk, some software or something else entirely – you are encouraged to leave a comment here or contact the FD staff directly and they will get back to you. You can enjoy the release on June 14th together with the FD crew on the MVM club day in Buurthuis “De Grendel”, Wicher Hentostraat 17 in Mariënberg. Doors open at 10:00. The FD crew hopes some of you will take this as the perfect excuse to visit an MVM club day, and they can’t wait to see you there!
