MFDC Micro Floppy Disk Controller by xavirompe

In the world of technology, we all know that any device has an expiration date. However, there is an exception in a place where things do not work in that way, the retrocomputer scene. Even so, if we look carefully within our particular MSX universe, the same behaviour occurs. The best example was the mass storage devices which made us gradually forget those slow and unreliable floppy disk drives decades ago.
But when it seemed that the floppy disks were forgotten in the deepest corner of our MSX stuff, the MFDC cartridge by xavirompe (the Rookie Drive developer) came to light. It is a cartridge that works as a floppy disk drive controller for MSX computers allowing two standard PC 3.5″ floppy disk drives to be connected simultaneously.
The MFDC cartridge is based on the popular TDC-600 controller. Among some improvements, the most remarkable feature is the addition of a switch to select the operation mode. On the one hand, the TDC-600 standard mode. On the other hand, a new custom mode that fixes a problem in the original design that may lead to a possible malfunction.
