In 2026, a Silja Line cruise ship will depart from Helsinki and return, hosting an authentic MSX event onboard. The MSX Cruise 2026 is set to take place, featuring Mr. Nishi as one of the passengers, sharing his insights on new MSX ideas. An unforgettable experience for MSX enthusiasts who get onboard.
Back in 2019, a unique initiative unfolded on the Baltic Sea: the MSX cruise 2019. It brought together like-minded MSX system enthusiasts for a lively 8-bit themed party on board. Organized by MRC user Mika from Finland, this unforgettable trip definitely deserved a sequel.
In April 2026, the MSX Cruise will set sail once more, taking the 8-bit enthusiasts to an exciting new level of MSX fun. Imagine it as an MSX fair on the water, celebrating 40 years of MSX enjoyment alongside the MSX father, Mr. Nishi himself. Participants bring their MSX computers and soak in the vibrant gathering while sipping another lemon on deck.
The massive cruise ship glides through the open waters of Finland, offering more than just cabins. It boasts shops, restaurants, a casino, swimming pools, bars, a karaoke bar, nightclubs, and more. It’s like a floating village, but this time filled with MSX enthusiasts ready to bring the house, or boat, down. After all, it’s party time!
If you’re hoping to join, unfortunately, the trip is already fully booked. A group of 20 MSX members will set sail in April next year. The trip is scheduled from Friday, April 17th, to Sunday, April 19th, 2026. Bon voyage, friends!
