MSX UK fun day September 2025

In September 2025, a new episode of the MSX UK fun-day will take place in the heart of Leicestershire, England with special guest Mr Kazuhiko Nishi. Hosted at the Retro Computer Museum, you are all welcome to join the party.

The Leicestershire Retro Computer Museum, which has opening hours in the weekend only, is a fantastic destination for enthusiasts of vintage computers. It houses an extensive collection of historic computer systems, including iconic models like the Sinclair Spectrum, Commodore, Atari 2600, Nintendo, and MSX, among others. This museum is also the proud host of the annual MSX UK Fun Day.

The event on Saturday, September 27th, will feature a significant collection of original MSX generation systems, as well as modern hardware. And, there is a special appearance of Mr Kazuhiko Nishi that day to update you on his MSX plans. The idea is to have a feast at a local Indo-Chinese restaurant afterwards, which will depend on attendance and people’s other commitments.

It promises to be an enjoyable day for everyone! The entry fee is £8.50, which grants you access to the entire museum as well. If you want to attend, you can book it in advance via the RCM website. The museum has moved to a larger unit since last year, which is not far from its previous location. If you wish to travel to Leicester, there is plenty of overnight accommodation should you require it in local hotels and guest houses.
