Rafael Jannone , creator of MSXPen , announced this Wednesday (18) a new version of the popular development playground for MSX. Among the new features of MSXPen 0.19 is the auto-complete functionality for CALL commands, such as CALL KANJI and CALL MUSIC , which makes it easier to use these commands in code.
Another new feature is the new applications menu, which includes links to TinySprite , a web-based sprite editor, and Screen Converter , which allows you to convert images to MSX screen standards directly in the browser. Both tools are also authored by Jannone.
The new version also made corrections to the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) conversion. In this case, issues with characters such as “ and ' have been fixed, ensuring that they are now handled correctly during conversion.
