openMSX 20.0: emulator introduces new graphical interface – Clube MSX Magazine

openMSX , one of the most popular MSX emulators, released its version 20.0 , titled “Autumn Spring” , last Sunday (22). This update brings significant changes focusing on the emulation experience for users.
The main new feature of this release, according to the openMSX team itself, is the introduction of a new Graphical User Interface (GUI), which replaces the old OSD menu. In addition, openMSX 20.0 now includes a faster and more powerful debugger, integrated directly into the emulator. Configuration for MSX joysticks and JoyMega devices has also been improved with the new GUI.

For those who still prefer to use the good old Catapult – until now the official GUI of this emulator and a practical launcher –, the version made available with openMSX 19.0 is still available.
The openMSX developers recommend reading the release notes for full details on all changes and improvements implemented in this release.
