Preserved issue 9 of MSX Soft Magazine

J. Alberto is the user behind the preservation of MSX Soft Magazine . He started doing so several years ago, encouraged by the fact that it was the first magazine he received at home as a Sony HB-75P user in 1985. It just so happened that the magazine on hand at the nearest newsstand was MSX Soft Magazine.

The remaining issues of this publication were issues 8 and 9. Well, issue 9 is now available for our daily MSX nostalgia fix. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
This issue is a bit special to me because I hadn't heard of this month's program, Shark Hunter, nor did I remember ever having played it. However, when I saw the screenshot on page 16, I remembered that the game called "Shark Hunter" was actually "Learn to Surf," an alternative title for the game, as it appears on the home screen when loading.
I clearly remember that my father and I copied the MSX-BASIC list for Learn to Navigate (he dictated to me and I typed on the MSX) from a magazine published by Monser. It was probably issue 7 of Type & Run , which has not yet been preserved.

So, as of today, only issue 8 remains to be preserved , curiously the first issue that J. Alberto had in his hands and which included the tape with the games Rana sideral and Gusanoco:

Once again, I want to thank J. Alberto for his work in preserving a piece of MSX history in Spain . And I wish him the best of luck in his quest for issue 8 of MSX Soft Magazine. We're eagerly awaiting that issue.
