About the game on MSX
The Goonies is a platform game released by Konami in 1986 for the MSX – and inspired by the film of the same name. The most famous song in the game is a simplified version of the song “The Goonies 'R' Good Enough”, by Cyndi Lauper.

In the game, the protagonist must rescue children kidnapped by the villains of the Fratelli family. During the adventure, the player faces several challenges and enemies, such as skulls, deadly waterfalls, villains and stalactites.

Several games based on the film were released for different platforms, such as Atari 8-bit, Amstrad CPC, Apple II, Commodore 64, NES and ZX Spectrum. In Brazil, the versions for MSX1 and NES were especially popular.
