Sorcerer Kid Adventure: 18th game registered in MSXdev24 – MSX Club Magazine

The MSXdev organization announced the entry of the 18th participating game in MSXdev24 . It is Sorcerer Kid Adventure , a 2D platform game with a fantasy theme.

In the game, which follows the “MetroidVania” style, we take on the role of Argos, a young wizard who must face the tyrannical Master Ghraul. To defeat him, you must collect three fragments of the illustrious Sacred Book.

The title is not exclusive to MSX: the game is a port of a Spectrum version recently released by VidaExtraRetro itself. Along with the game's ROM, there is an instruction manual in digital format.

This is the eighteenth game entered in the 2024 edition of MSXdev, the traditional game development contest for the MSX. The games already participating include The Drop of Abu-Cymbel, Catbox, Titan UFO, Kitten2, Maiden's Extreme Fist – BUN-GA-RUA, Pyjamarama, The Curse of Lies, Harker's Escape, Wizsoul, Grazers, Sam.Pr, Chimney Man, Minas, Whack 'Em Smack 'Em Byrons, Puzzle Mania-MSXdev24 Edition, AlienMSX and Princess Paloma's Rescue.
