The 17th entry in MSXdev24 – The Drop of Abu-Cymbel – is nothing less than a humorous homage to the classic Spanish game Abu-Simbel Profanation , known worldwide among MSX users for its high level of difficulty.

In Abu-Simbel Profanation, the most dangerous enemy of all is The Drop . And he is known as such because he has killed the most players over the years.

Also developed for MSX1, the new title places us once again inside a pyramid. And by the name of the game you can probably guess: The Drop is back, and even more dangerous! In this new game, the hero who could save the day is Misisipi Juan, but unfortunately he is not available at the moment, so you will have to play with Caconi Di'Merda , who is nothing less than a poop (seriously) with a stick (yes, human beings have an unparalleled creativity).

The game is available in English and Spanish, with an instruction manual also in both languages. The controls can be customized.

This is the seventeenth game entered in the 2024 edition of MSXdev , the traditional game development contest for the MSX.
