The Stone of Wisdom, a remake inspired by the Casio classic
The Stone of Wisdom is a classic Casio game released for MSX in 1986.
NeonBytes has created a remake of the same name, which is quite faithful to the original, preserving the story, mechanics, and setting (Ancient Egypt). We are the son of the pharaoh in search of four scrolls, each guarded in secret chambers by mythical creatures, and each stage will be a challenge to overcome, with tireless enemies, deadly traps, and puzzles to solve. There are also secret passages that will open to reveal secrets we will want to discover.
The remake has very beautiful, detailed graphics. The sprites look great, giving them a retro pixel art feel that I love. The same can be said of the sound effects and music, which remind me a lot of the tunes from King's Valley 2.
The Stone of Wisdom is available on both Steam and itch.io at a very attractive price.
