Tokyo Game Show 2024: audience will be able to play Metal Gear Solid Delta – Revista Clube MSX
The 2024 edition of the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) , Japan's leading video game fair, will take place from September 26 to 29 in Chiba, Japan. This year, the event will feature more than 500 exhibitors in more than 10 areas, including console and PC games, smartphone games, hardware, augmented reality, lifestyle gamer, indie games, eSports and development schools.
One of the biggest exhibitors at the show, Sony announced that it will have some previews and new releases at its booth. Among them will be Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater , which has not yet been released but will be available for the public to play. The title, developed by Konami , is actually a remake of 2004's Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater , the fifth main entry in the Metal Gear franchise, which began in 1986 on the MSX2.
Brands of interest to MSX users
Tokyo Game Show 2024 will also feature the presence of other renowned brands from the gaming world, some of which are nostalgic for MSX users. In addition to Konami , one of the most iconic game developers for the MSX and which has released countless titles (Knightmare, Gradius, Antarctic Adventure, King's Valley and many others), there will also be names such as Taito , Koei Tecmo and Square Enix .
Although best known for its arcade games, some of Taito 's titles were ported to the MSX in the 1980s. In addition to platform-exclusive games such as Sweet Acorn and Xyzolog , the Japanese developer also released ports of games such as Arkanoid , Chack'n Pop , Elevator Action and many others on the MSX.
Koei Tecmo , a well-known Japanese video game publisher and developer, was formed in 2009 when the Koei and Tecmo companies merged. But when it was just Koei, the company released strategy games such as Nobunaga's Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms on the MSX.
Before the merger that resulted in Square Enix , both companies produced games for the MSX. Square released titles such as Alien 2 , Dragon Slayer , King's Knight and Thexder . Enix also had involvement with the MSX with titles such as Door Door , from 1984.
The Metal Gear that will be at Tokyo Game Show 2024
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an action-adventure stealth game developed and published by Konami. As mentioned, it is actually a remake of the 2004 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the fifth main entry in the Metal Gear franchise. Like the original, the remake is set in 1964 and stars a FOX agent codenamed Naked Snake, who must save a scientist and eliminate the Shagohod, a Soviet nuclear superweapon. The game is scheduled to release later this year for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

TGS 2024 will be streamed on the official Tokyo Game Show YouTube channel . Microsoft has announced that it will also stream the event on the official Xbox channel . Microsoft's stream will support multiple languages, including Brazilian Portuguese.
