Maiden's Extreme Fist – BUN-GA-RUA is the winner of MSXdev24 – Clube MSX Magazine

MSXdev , the traditional game development competition for the MSX system, released the results of the 2024 edition on Friday (28). With 31 games registered, MSXdev24 brought together developers from different countries, who had their work evaluated by a jury specialized in mechanics, graphics and sound.
Unsurprisingly, the big winner was Maiden's Extreme Fist – BUN-GA-RUA , by Retromixis , which achieved 513 points out of a possible 600. The game, inspired by the classic fighting game franchise Yie Ar Kung-Fu , had already won the MSX GotY 2024 and had been highly praised for its story and technical quality, sound and gameplay.

The jury was composed of Santi Ontañón (mechanics), Joel Verdonck (graphics) and Gryzor87 and WYZ (sound). The competition, which started on May 1, 2024, had nine months of development and allowed the use of any MSX hardware.
